I thought it was too good to be true to get a sony vaio this cheap but it has been amazing. Fast delivery as well. No faults so far, runs very fast, great quality picture etc and has everything I need on it. The picture looks white but my one came and is silver but this is not a huge deal. The only thing I was puzzled about was that the internet explorer button dissapeared when I tried to create a desktop shortcut and I had to re-download it. Apart from that it is definately well worth the money. :)

Very bad touch-pad, but the laptop itself works well!, 30 Sep 2010

I have to say the laptop itself works very well – in terms of speed, software etc. However the touch pad was uncomfortable to use right from the beginning, and after just 7 weeks the touch pad keys broke through light use. After having a new touchpad installed, this one has done the same. It’s simply poor quality! The keyboard is perfect, the design is lovely and as I said it works well – but the plastic used on the touch pad, as well as that for the casing of the laptop is simply cheap and poor quality. The last laptop I had was a HP Pavilion, and I would have expected to be more pleased with a Sony Vaio, but this is unfortunately not the case! I don’t hate the laptop, but in future I would rather buy another HP or a durable laptop such as a Toshiba! If you do want a Sony Vaio – I would highly recommend getting a USB-mouse!!

Like other reviewers I was troubled to see the web access button not there despite the original description on amazon

I have had it over a month now and it is much slower than I expected and also has crashed several times when several programmes are running together I think this is a computer for light use as it seems to freeze up when under pressure and leaves you hanging for long periods I have also found if I am playing itunes unattended and the thing goes into energy saving mode shutting down everything screen and seemingly hard drive too but audio still playing from the speakers and a locked keyboard leaving me having to switch it off with the power button Very troubling!

Over all a dissappointment considering the Brand of Sony Wish I had spent the money on a higher spec machine from a less high profile name However as I have passed my 30 day return date I guess amazon will not take it back

If further crashes and errors occur I will try and contact Sony direct to see what my position is
